postpartum care new mother

have you recently had a baby? do you have pain, abdominal separation, bowel or bladder issues, or difficulty returning to exercise?

Congratulations on the birth of your child! Becoming a mother is a great gift. However, the toll of 40 weeks of pregnancy along with the trauma of either vaginal or Cesarean section birth can leave you feeling like your body is no longer something you recognize. Pain, diastasis recti, prolapse, and urinary or bowel symptoms are all common. You are not alone in this journey. I can help.

How can pelvic health physical therapy help? Patients are routinely referred to physical therapy regarding other traumas or surgeries, but unlike many other countries, it is not as common to be referred to postpartum physical therapy in America. I can help address strengthening concerns, core activation, scar management, postural changes for holding/feeding your baby, strategies for lifting your child, and return to exercise. This is not an exhaustive list. Contact me below if you would like to know how I can help you.

You will receive a comprehensive exam, education, and a home exercise program to address your specific needs.
